Terms of use
Effective date: to be set at launch.
Using the app
SnapFocus helps you limit your own use of apps on your own device. You need iOS and you need to grant Screen Time permission, because that is the only way an app is allowed to shield another app. Without it the app cannot enforce anything, and it says so rather than pretending.
You are responsible for the rules you set. SnapFocus is not a security product and is not a substitute for parental control software.
Free and paid
SnapFocus is free to download and free to use for its core purpose: creating app groups, setting limits and schedules, and running Deep Focus sessions.
The app also offers in-app purchases. Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription with weekly, monthly, and yearly options, and as a one-time lifetime unlock that never renews. Current prices are shown in the app and on the App Store listing before you confirm anything, in your local currency.
Subscriptions and renewal
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price for your storefront.
You manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings on your device, under your Apple Account, not inside SnapFocus. Cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your current period running to its end.
The lifetime unlock is a single purchase. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Payment and refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your card details. Because Apple is the seller of record, refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us, through Apple's own request process. We cannot issue a refund directly, though we would still like to hear what went wrong at [email protected].
Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, so restoring them on a new device is a matter of signing in with the same account.
What we can change
Some content is delivered as configuration rather than in an app update: the set of plants you can grow, and the videos that play during a focus session. These can change without a new release.
We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects a lifetime unlock you already own, and any change to a subscription price is handled through Apple, which asks you to agree before it takes effect.
No warranty
SnapFocus is provided as it is. Screen Time enforcement depends on iOS behaving as documented, and Apple can change that behaviour in an OS update. We do not promise the app will block every app in every circumstance, and you should not rely on it where the consequences of a lapse are serious.
To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Ending it
You can stop using SnapFocus at any time by deleting it, which removes everything it stored on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; cancel that in your Apple Account settings first.
